Accra (Greater Accra) 23 March 2002-E –Distribution (Weekend Entertainments Home Video Theater) Productions is pioneering the efforts to introduce into Ghana body-printed CDs for music and Ghanaian films on DVD and Video CD formats for global promotion and marketing.
E-distribution (WEHVT) is currently holding an agency for G2 DIGITAL MEDIA, a multinational company with its headquaters at the Czech Republic and with several years of experience in music and film duplication.
A three-man delegation currently embarking on a trip to Czech Republic will release and launch the agency’s promotional items such as body-printed CDs, VCDs and DVDs and the first Ghanaian movies on video CD and DVD formats, in Accra in April. E –distribution will set up a new digital compression and editing studio with an anti-piracy software at the company's premises at Kanda, Accra.
E-distribution, with the aid of Ghana Postal Company/EMS has already started a nationwide market survey and campaign to expand and develop the sale of music and films, which is done directly from post offices. This started last year, November 2001, and will soon be officially launched.
The Operations Manager, Mr Seth Adams, said he is really disappointed with a French deal with Kdg Mediatech, and this has delayed the process of this transformation. He promised to meet the goal and satisfaction on the Ghanaian market.
