Hearts Chapter in Kade marks 90th anniversary
Cape Coast (Central Region) 28 November 2001 - Aggrey Memorial Zion Secondary School on Monday whipped Apam Secondary School 4-2 to lift the Central Region Milo Championship Trophy in the finals of the inter schools and colleges Milo tournament played at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
After a gruelling 1-1 first half score, Apam Secondary School who were determined to cause sensation surprised Aggrey College, who are also the VALCO youth soccer champions, with the leader within five minutes of play through centre half, Thomas Mensah.
Aggrey realising that their prestige was at stake hit back gallantly and made the scores two all with Thomas Foyoo's 60th minute goal.
The Cape Coast boys from then on did not look back as they piled up pressure on their opponents and succeeded in rattling in two quick goals to make victory certain for over Apam.

Kade (Eastern Region) 28 November 2001 - The Kade Chapter of the Accra Hearts of Oak Football Club Supporters Union has celebrated the 90th anniversary of the premier club at Kade with a 60-minute friendly football match against supporters of Kumasi Asante Kotoko which ended goalless.
Chapter 71 as the Kade group are known also held a dinner dance to award prizes to deserving footballers and officials of the champion club. Emmanuel Osei Kuffuor was voted the best player of the year and his prize was received on his behalf by Mr Yaw Amponsah, second-vice chairman of the supporters' union.
Mr Ato Quagraine, National Chairman of the supporters union received the best statesman award while Ishmael Addo received an award for being the highest goal scorer. Asante Kotoko also received an award for their efforts in promoting soccer in the country.
Mr Harry Zakkour, Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak was awarded for promoting peace and solidarity in the team while Mr Yaw Amponsah received a prize for his hard work with the Akim Abompehene being awarded as the best patron of Chapter 71.
During the ceremony Mr Daniel Kumah of the Kade Health Centre was appointed the new chairman of the chapter to replace Mr Kwabena Appea Ayeh. Mr Quagraine advised the supporters to unite at all times to support the team both materially and spiritually.
He also advised them to do away with politics stressing that politics in football does not help a team to progress.
